Why are we so afraid to die?
While, truly, the whole concept of reality is a lie.
It’d be a simple task to run away,
And it seriously takes huge courage to stay.
Yes, sometimes, life may seem to be dead,
And we fail to realise there’s still an unconquered path ahead.
Sometimes, failure breaks our heart into pieces,
But one who sits idly and mourns over it is the one who actually losses.
Crawl. Walk. Run. Fly. Fall.
Make mistakes, and stand tall.
People may stalk, talk and may also laugh,
Just let them be!
Because, there’s more to you than just being a gossip queen.
That haven’t seen the hell we were raised in,
They won’t realise the pain that we have survived in.
A dead life may seem a better option than hell most of the time,
But well, why not love and serve and get the heaven we truly deserve.
Death ain’t a thing to be scared of,
Like life, it’s a step into a new era,
Not yet discovered and not yet seen.
Maybe that’s why we find death terrifying.
The time we get in between life and death is minimal and equal to most of them,
So, why not do something great and remain a legend,
Instead of being a mystery in the unsearched and unrecorded history.
Death is inevitable, so don’t frighten,
Just live your life and spread peace, because in reality life is beyond what we can imagine.
Screaming with some pain,
Singing my sorrow song,
I was going along,
Because, everyone drove me insane.
Never had I thought, my life would be such a mess,
With every turn, I get filled up with stress.
Why oh why, don’t we have a button to alert any distress!
It’s about time that I had confessed.
They say, “A friend in need is a friend indeed”.
So, I want you to listen, just once I plead.
You always have something to say,
But to hear me out, not even an heed you’d pay.
I hit rock-bottom years ago, when people started to ignore me,
I tried to fit in, because, people not doing that were tagged silly.
Every time I felt the urge to be funny,
They would look back at me, I swear, it was always scary.
Develop sense of humour, you said.
But, to insult someone’s dignity, and lose my respect,
These things are actually worse than death.
I’d prefer staying in hell, if humans don’t learn.
I tried to be perfect by not talking out about my depression,
But, by the time I understood the need to heal,
It had almost won.
Those tearless cries,
Those noiseless screams,
Dull was the feeling portrayed by every colour
And I felt the need to kill myself every other hour.
My dreams, my passion, were of no importance, I could see,
But to watch them being burned down alive, tore my soul
No one to talk to, no one to be with, being an introvert,
It was supposed to be my heaven.
But, this was a misery that I wish no one should face.
No other option felt better than to give up,
But just the day before I planned to leave this place,
Hope was given to me by the person I expected the least
She did look like a cold-hearted person, but her heart melted when she found her one,
‘Patience’ is a virtue that will give you a huge reward, I realized that day.
And hope is something, you should never abandon on the way.
Thus, my journey to a great life began.
With the love of my life who saved a soul from doing a horrid mistake,
Suicide is the worst option,
To get out of depression.
And to hang oneself or to tease others,
Is not considered as fun!
Suicide, today has become a rising issue. It may seem the easiest option to end all troubles, but please before you do consider that, think about your family, friends or colleagues. They may hate you for taking such a decision. If you don’t have anyone to talk to, you can contact the helpline services that are available. If you are not comfortable with that, you can very well contact us. We will be very happy to be your friend and help you out in dealing in a crisis.
To others, Mental health is a major health concern that has to be given equal or more importance to, since kids learn from adults. We as a society must make sure, everyone is happy and everyone is in peace both physically and mentally. So, if you can’t help a person in such stages, at least don’t tease them or torture them.
Please, spread the message. There is always hope. There is always love. Spread Love, Spread Hope and Spread Life.
“…and then, I have nature and art and poetry, and if that is not enough, what is enough?”
― Vincent Van Gogh
